Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Claims Representative in Olathe, Kansas. This role is within the industry of healthcare, primarily dealing with medical claims and insurance-related activities. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, expecting the Representative to handle various responsibilities related to medical claims, insurance, and billing functions.
Responsibilities:
• Handle medical claims and insurance-related activities efficiently.
• Process appeals and ensure they are addressed appropriately.
• Manage billing functions accurately, ensuring all claims are billed correctly.
• Oversee the administration of claims, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.
• Conduct collection processes professionally and effectively.
• Utilize Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, Epic Clinical, and Epic Software in managing and processing claims.
• Perform benefit functions as part of the role, providing accurate information to customers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical claims procedures and regulations.
• Address customer inquiries related to claims and billing, providing accurate and timely responses.
• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking necessary actions where required. Requirements • Proficiency in handling Appeals, with the ability to effectively address and resolve issues.
• Thorough understanding of Benefit Functions, with the capacity to guide patients about their insurance benefits.
• Demonstrated experience in Billing Functions, ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
• Expertise in Claim Administration, efficiently managing claims from initiation to closure.
• Familiarity with Collection Processes, following up on unpaid claims and overdue accounts.
• Strong background in Insurance Claims, with the ability to understand and interpret insurance policies.
• Experience in Medical Claims, processing and tracking claims in a healthcare setting.
