Olathe Medical Center, Inc, a 300-bed general acute care facility is currently looking for aNew Graduate Nurse Residentto join our team on September 24, 2018.Our three-month program includes:Formal education including online, in class, and simulationCompletion of Basic EKG Rhythm courseWorking rotations with preceptor on Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and CCUAdditional learning experiences in Wound Care, Radiology, Day Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Respiratory TherapyPosition Description:The Nurse Resident Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. He/she provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. He/she integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families through the continuum of care. The Nurse Resident RN collaborates with others to integrate assessment and input of the patient, family and the interdisciplinary team. The Nurse Resident RN takes direction from his/her preceptor, manager, educator and/or director and always maintains a culture of patient safety and quality.He/she ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning. Demonstrates leadership skills in decision-making and problem solving. The Nurse Resident RN integrates and communicates knowledge and sensitivity to patient's psychosocial, spiritual, cultural and age specific needs.
