Olathe Medical Center Reimbursement Analyst in Olathe, Kansas

We're currently looking for a Reimbursement Analyst to join our Finance team.
Position Description: The Reimbursement Analyst will be responsible for completing the monthly contractual allowances and analysis for both hospitals, home health/hospice and physician clinics; preparation of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for both hospitals and rural health clinics; assistance in annual reimbursement budget and forecasting processes. The Reimbursement Analyst will be responsible for compiling information for Medicaid DSH reports, wage index analysis for Medicare, community benefit reporting and annual 990 tax returns. This position will be responsible for reviewing new Medicare regulations and determining the impact it may have on Olathe Health entities. This position will be responsible for making recommendations on overhead allocations to align Medicare cost reporting and financial reporting. This analyst will be responsible for analyzing revenue and reimbursement and explaining the variables that are causing variances to trend. Must demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Position Requirements: Education: Minimum- 4 Year/Bachelors Degree, Finance, Accounting, or Business field Preferred- Graduate Degree
Experience: Minimum- 6-10 Years, Reimbursement Analysis in Hospital or Medicare Auditing position Knowledge, Skills: Minimum- Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage numerous projects at the same time to meet deadlines Minimum- Microsoft Office and various financial software Minimum- Budgetary & Fiscal Mgmt Minimum- Analytical, Ability to data mine and analyze data from multiple systems, synthesize and create reports Minimum- Verbal Communication Minimum- Grammar/Spelling Minimum- Mathematical Preferred-Certified Public Accountant(CPA)
