POSITION SUMMARY
The GSE Field Service Technician diagnoses systems issues and performs repairs on ground support equipment (GSE aircraft dicers and cabin/catering service vehicles).This role will improve customer loyalty/satisfaction/retention for GGS and provide valuable marketplace intelligence and ideas to GGS leadership team.This role will be required to travel extensively from August through March, both domestically and, on occasion, internationally. From April through July, these technicians will assist with set and test responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Maintain all equipment systems, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment, inspect, test, and operate equipment to determine serviceability and proper operation.
- Analyze, diagnose, and repair system malfunctions using experience, visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
- Report concerns in an accurate and timely manner to management for future product improvements.
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches to prepare equipment for deployment.
- Document maintenance action. Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions.
- Solve system problems by using drawings, diagrams and schematics, technical publications, and other sources.
- Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
