Join our team of innovators as we design, develop and deploy cutting-edge software solutions for Honeywell Anthem Next -Generation Avionics Display Systems . As a Software Engineer within our (NGA) Next-Generation Avionics group, you will work with a talented team of engineers responsible for designing and developing advanced software solutions for cutting-edge avionics technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, code, and test, and software solutions for avionics display systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, design software architectures, and implement software modules.

  • Design, develop, and test software applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user-friendliness.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance and reliability

  • Software architecture and coding

  • Integration

  • Feature Definition

  • Verification and Validation

  • Analytical skills & software development skills

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • BS Degree (2+ years of experience) OR MS Degree (with 0-2 years experience)

WE VALUE

  • Understanding various software development life cycles, methodologies and tools.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Ada, Python and/or Open GL, as well as real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development tools

  • Experience in any of the following is a PLUS :

  • Avionics products, i.e. Avionics Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Autopilot, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD), Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Radios, etc

  • Understanding of User Application development.

  • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.

  • Experience operating in an Agile framework
