As a Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced hardware solutions for our aerospace products. You will work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality hardware designs. Your expertise in hardware engineering will contribute to the success of our aerospace business.

You will report directly to our Olathe Electronic Solutions Engineering site Leader working out of our Olathe, Kansas location.

In this role, you will impact the aerospace industry by designing and developing advanced hardware solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware designs with overall product goals. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our aerospace products and help us maintain our position as a global leader in the industry.

Honeywell Anthem is breaking new ground in Avionics design and the pilot-machine interface, with the goal of making pilots’ jobs easier and safer and essentially allowing pilots to configure their own cockpit based on mission and phase of flight. Our new revolutionary integrated Anthem Flight Deck offers unparalleled levels of connectivity, an exciting and intuitive user interface and a highly scalable and customizable design.

Join our team of innovators as we design, develop and deploy cutting-edge hardware solutions for Honeywell Anthem Next -Generation Avionics Systems. You will be a key member of our Olathe Electronic Solutions Engineering group, responsible for designing, developing and supporting production for cutting-edge avionics technology that enhance the situational awareness and decision-making capabilities of pilots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced hardware solutions for aerospace products

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware designs

  • Conduct testing and validation of hardware designs to ensure quality and reliability

  • Provide technical expertise to support hardware production

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in hardware engineering and apply them to product designs

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in advanced hardware engineering

  • Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies

  • Experience with hardware testing and validation

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

    WE VALUE

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Experience in aerospace industry

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for aerospace hardware (DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware and RTCA DO-160 Qualification Guidelines.)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Proficiency with Mentor Graphics X-petition Enterprise Design Flow, Mathcad, MS Excel, and LT-Spice.
