Olathe Medical Center Systems Administrator II in Olathe, Kansas

Job Summary: The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the installation, configuration, customization and maintenance of enterprise-wide infrastructure and application systems. Under minimum supervision, this position also provides day-to-day system administration of infrastructure and enterprise applications. Under minimal supervision, this position monitors, maintains and optimizes system performance utilizing systems management tools. Provides project management for key initiatives and brings Project Management sensibility to all tasks.

This position also participates with coworkers on all IT related projects and is expected to provide cost-effective business solutions based on Olathe Health's business model.

Minimum Requirements: • Have a two-year Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience • 3-5 years experience or equivalent work experience in a systems administration or similar role • Computer systems, analytical, organizational, self motivated and works independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities: • Adheres to and/or maintains departmental policies and procedures, to be regulatory compliant with TJC, OSHA, safety standards, or other regulatory agencies. • Demonstrates flexibility required to meet changing priorities. • Maintains respectful working relationships with co-workers and encourages the team approach. • Approaches work in a manner that makes quality improvement a part of every activity. • Takes ownership and responsibility for desired outcomes. Escalates appropriately to ensure a successful resolution to customer requests and issues. Always uses the approved Change Control methodology to ensure appropriate notification and approval has been obtained. • Documents processes/procedures/solutions to assure continuity of ITS services. Contributes and ensures Knowledge Base articles are populated as applicable. Maintains and respects patient and employee confidentiality while adhering to the OMCI Release of Information policy. • Use experience, expertise and good judgment when making decisions in complex situations. Ensures that all perspectives and options are considered prior to proposing or implementing solutions. Escalate issues as appropriate in a timely manner. Obtains and analyzes all pertinent information available, in order to make the most informed decision based on factual and objective data. • Consistently demonstrates the ability to establish appropriate priorities to accomplish the goals according to agreed upon schedules. Seeks out responsibility and is willing to take the initiative to further resolve issues. • Consistently provide exceptional delivery of customer service. Show continued improvement in customer's perception of the service received year after year. Be acutely aware of how actions reflect upon the entire team and the department.
