Newell Brands Warehouse Associate - Rework 1st Shift in Olathe, Kansas
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB: Package a wide variety of products, receive or ship products while ensuring all customer requirements and deadlines are met.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operates material transporting equipment to convey materials andproducts to designated location, equipment could include forklift, standuplift, motorized power jack and other equipment as required.
Loadand unload designated trailers, move product and/or materials manually asrequired
Ensure compliance with customer shipping policies and Coleman procedures
Count, package and/or crate parts and products as directed
Resolve all product shortages on inbound and outbound orders
Maintains materials and product location system
Ensures proper label placement to product as required
Determine the most efficient and secure loading sequence and loadstransportation units in accordance with schedules
Verifies count, part number and signs or secures signature for receivedor shipped materials
Follows proper Transfer Order procedures to ensure accurate inventorylevels.
Performs data entry duties into SAP system as required
Assists with physical inventory as required
Reports service needed on material transporting equipment
Completes all necessary paperwork for inbound and outbound inventory asrequired
Observes all safety rules
All other projects as assigned by management.KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required
2-6 months warehouse experience preferred
Reasonable ability to read English
Data entry skills required, SAP experiencepreferred
Forklift experience required, must completeinternal training to obtain Forklift license and Standup license
Physical demands include lifting and carrying10-50 pounds, climbing ladders, pushing and pulling product, twisting andturning of the body as well as repetitive bending and hand work
Work environment includes operation of handtools, electrical equipment and exposure to propane
Must be flexible in working overtime as needed
