Position Value Proposition
Provides critical HR support to Plant Management in the areas of recruiting, retention, and employee relations. Carrys out company policies, procedures, and manpower planning strategies through effective communication and pro-active efforts.
Partners with Plant Manager to identify both current and future staffing needs for production departments.
Assists plant management with the full cycle recruitment process (from Job Analysis to New Hire Onboarding)
Works with Team Leaders/Supervisors ensuring Onboarding process is successfully meeting training goals/initiatives.
Assists with administration and execution of the performance management and review process, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained and readily available.
Creates and processes weekly personnel status changes and weekly reports.
Administer Attendance Policy with daily/weekly tracking and reporting (Kronos Time & Attendance)
Coordinates all pre-employment screening such as skill tests, drug tests, reference checks and employment verifications.
Works with HRBP’s on recruitment and retentions strategies.
Generates consistent applicant flow by building pipeline of qualified candidates through outreach efforts (social media, community affairs, job fairs, public sector referrals, etc…)
Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
Creates and maintains employee personnel files.
Addresses unemployment insurance claims.
Maintains daily interactions with production leadership and production employees fostering a strong relationship management.

Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:
Attention to Details
Five (5) years of related experience in Human Resources with heavy volume staffing and employee relations. Construction or manufacturing environment highly preferred.
High school diploma/general equivalency diploma (GED). A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, Business Management or a closely related field highly preferred. A Certification in HR also highly preferred (SHRM or HRCI certificate). A combination of degree/certification may substitute for years of experience.
Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local Employment laws such as Wage and Hour, EEO, I9 administration, unemployment processing, and workers compensation is critical.
Must have business acumen with a general understanding of P & L, Business Statistics, and HR Metrics.
Software & Technology
Position will require the frequent use of MS Windows 10, MS Office 365 including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Outlook. Working experience with Kronos or applicable TKS is a strongly preferred. Working experience with Paycom or applicable HRIS is also highly preferred.
This position may require the need to be outdoors for certain periods of the day. Thus, exposure to outdoor weather conditions is imminent. Work atmosphere is in a safety sensitive industrial work environment. Reasonable accommodations made upon request under the ADA. Road Travel may be required at times. A clean MVD and proof of insurance is required.
