Purpose of the position
Kalmar USA is seeking a Marketing Intern to assist with market research, creating print, video, and online marketing plans and tools for our Kalmar Ottawa Terminal Tractor and Kalmar Counterbalanced Equipment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
● Conduct Marketing analysis for our Terminal Truck and Counterbalanced Equipment
● Communicate with Dealers, OEM’s and Cargotec personnel & departments
● Assist with Events, Public Relations, Social Media and Salesforce CRM/Pardot Automation
● Create lists of press contacts for both Terminal Truck and Counterbalanced Equipment and Application Industries
● Audit and Clean up Salesforce CRM Contacts and Lists
● Help to improve systems and Marketing Metric Tracking
● Other tasks and special assignments assigned
Based in Ottawa, Kansas, this role will report to the North American Marketing Manager.
What you’ll need to succeed
● Be currently enrolled in college level coursework for Marketing or Business Administration field, preferably at Junior level or higher
● Basic knowledge of marketing, branding, and advertising
● Preferably some previous work/classroom experience in similar tasks
● Detailed orientated and creative working style
● Highly proficient MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
● Previous experience in self-motivation and leadership
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
