Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry, based in Overland Park, Kansas. The role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for handling a range of accounting tasks, from processing purchase orders to managing accounts payable and receivable. Your role will also involve a significant amount of data entry.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the accounts payable and receivable
• Process purchase orders with accuracy and efficiency
• Carry out data entry tasks as required
• Match invoices to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Handle the reconciliation process as and when required
• Use QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications with precision and speed Requirements • Proficiency in using QuickBooks is essential for managing financial records effectively.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required to manage and process outgoing payments.
• Familiarity with Purchase Orders is necessary to handle orders from suppliers efficiently.
• Strong data entry skills are needed to input financial data accurately and quickly.
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial for managing incoming payments and ensuring timely collection.
