T-Mobile Analyst, Enterprise Risk (Bellevue, WA/Overland Park, KS) in Overland Park, Kansas
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is responsible for the company’s enterprise risk management program that enables T-Mobile to understand, consider, manage, and disclose to investors the risks that can have a material effect on a company’s financial condition and results of operations.
ERM works with all levels of the enterprise, including the Board of Directors, Board Committees, and Officers & Executives, and with all organizations in the enterprise. In particular, ERM works closely with other governance functions, including those within Legal, Privacy, Information Security, Compliance, Finance, and Technology, in order to determine options and impacts associated with various potential risks.
What you’ll do in your role.
Conducting industry research and participating in preparing risk briefs on current enterprise risks and new and emerging risks.
Supporting enterprise risk assessment activities, including executive interview preparation and support, supporting draft risk write-ups and overall draft report for executive management.
Contributing to risk assessment projects, including being knowledgeable about professional standards and risk frameworks, participating in interviews, supporting risk write-ups and the draft report, and preparing supporting project documentation.
Participating in and supporting the Company’s ‘Second Line of Defense’ activities, including partnering with similar teams, gaining an understanding of risk and compliance frameworks and standards, and supporting alignment of Governance/Risk/Compliance activities between teams.
Supporting the team’s reporting obligations internally and externally and ad-hoc reporting requests.
Communicating effectively in writing and in-person with business partners and executives via email, reports, interviews, presentations, etc
The experience you’ll bring.
Bachelor’s degree with 0 to 3 years of work experience preferably in risk management or compliance field and/or technology/communications industry. Bachelor’s degree required.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Utilize other analytical, collaboration, and reporting tools to innovate on internal processes.
Work independently while representing the department with the highest level of professionalism.
Self-starter who is customer focused, internally motivated, intellectually curious, and self-confident.
Works well and builds trust within our team and with teams across the Company.
Able to establish and maintain positive relationships across the enterprise.
Capable in written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Risk management, audit, and/or project management certifications a plus (e.g. RIMS-CRMP, CIA, CRISC, CISM, CRMA)
Up to 5% travel
At least 18 years of age
