Pay: $22.00-$24.00/hour

Shifts:

  • Days 0700-1500

  • Evenings 1500-2300

  • Nights 2300-0700

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Armed Security Officer Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Basic Computer skills

  • Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift

  • Must have great attention to detail

  • High level customer service

  • PSR evaluation required

  • 1 Year Military, law enforcement or armed security experience OR 1.5 years of SOC/Dispatch experience

All candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Typical Job Duties:

  • Access Control - Visitor Management for guests and service providers, including issuing guest badges and access cards as needed.

  • Monitoring Security Systems - Monitoring camera and access card systems as well as turnstile and vehicle gates.

  • Site Patrols - Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle which may include generator rooms, tech rooms etc.; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons in and around the properties.

  • Daily Activity Reports - Daily officer activity paperwork, recording any activity completed by officer and badges that are issued.

  • Respond to any Medical/Fire call to ensure the safety of the individual and client property, Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community as needed.

  • Complete work orders - As issues are found or reported, officers will make the correct notifications regarding work orders to have issues corrected or fixed.

  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
