Position Overview
The Art Therapist provides both therapist-led and client-directed art interventions for a variety of Art of the
Matter, LLC patient populations including children, teens, adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatric
depending on your specialty niche. Services may include outpatient individual, family, and group therapy.

Reports to: Amber Dalzell, LCPC, ATR-BC, ATCS
Duties/Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of a specialized creative arts field (i.e.,
drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, mixed media, creative writing) and the use of appropriate
specialized modalities to treat the mental, emotional, and social needs of the individual clients.
Perform on-site and virtual clinical counseling services to patients of Art of the Matter, LLC, as
scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
Respond to patients requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are
made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Art of the Matter, LLC website.
Receive consults and conduct, analyze, interpret, and report assessment data based upon
functional domains (cognitive, sensory, social, affective, physical, and leisure).
Document clearly and conci sely the findings of an initial evaluation, treatment interventions, re-
evaluations, and discharge notes.
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, monitor and evaluate progress, and document
all clinical data.
Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress
notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms of documents which
may be needed or required from time-to-time by Art of the Matter, LLC or third parties in
conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each
