The Brand Manager is a key member of the the Hill’s Global Marketing and Innovation Accelerator. This role will help lead the optimization and acceleration of innovation, collaboration, experimentation and learning. We believe that intersecting the goals of the business with the needs of our users can yield impactful, intuitive and inclusive experiences that inspire, engage and drive results. The role will own critical work streams within the team that is working to accelerate growth via a variety of projects primarily focused on horizon 3 innovation. This role will work with cross-functional partners to evaluate opportunity targets, incubate business critical projects, and develop new services or business models. This role will flex between categories, project types and project lengths depending on the opportunity.

What You Will Do:

  • Supports the identification of new adjacencies for the Growth Accelerator to pursue

  • 5-8 times per year participates in opportunity generation process

  • Map adjacency space, identifies trends and insights and determines opportunities scope for new ideas

  • Synthesize, and propose the opportunity, to the Innovation Council

  • Owns critical workstreams in the agile working team to focus on 3-4 projects at a time

  • Supports evaluation of opportunity space (people insights, competitors, category trends and future dynamics)

  • Manages day to day operations to develop prototypes, concepts or minimal viable offerings

  • Integrates learning plan findings into new product, service, business model opportunities

  • Member of cross-functional team to develop new product bundles

  • Assists in project transitions to execution teams

  • Collaborates with base marketing and commercial teams to assist in execution of successful launch

  • Supports development of customer presentation materials for new product review meetings

  • Periodically presents project updates to Senior Leadership for review and feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years prior experience in brand marketing; 2+ in CPG innovation

  • Demonstrated creativity, curiosity and strategic thinking skills

  • Demonstrated cross functional partnership and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated experience of driving new thinking or changing thinking of a team or organization

  • Demonstrated passion for exploring people insights, developing solutions that meet real needs or interests

  • High level of initiative, assertiveness and self-direction

  • Able to work on multiple projects at a time while delivering strong results

  • Demonstrated experience of working across seniority levels with ease

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing environment

  • Positive attitude and resilience in the approach to new challenges and setbacks

  • Strong data acumen

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $115,200.00 - $144,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
