Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient appointments in a surgical physician's clinic. Responsibilities include taking patient vitals, entering medical history, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, and preparing patient charts for providers on clinic days. Medical assistants are also responsible for scanning all patient documents to charts, scheduling radiology testing, and obtaining all necessary records and films for providers to review at appointments. The Medical Assistant will be placed at the Overland Park clinic but must be open to travel to Lee Summit or Independence.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Overland Park, Kansas.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced with high patient volume, in a Gastroenterology and Hepatology physician's clinic. The culture emphasizes supporting multiple providers, maintaining the highest level of care for patients, and following specific processes meticulously. Patient care is the top priority. The dress code is scrubs.
