Insight Global Civil Structural Engineer in Overland Park, Kansas
Job Description
A consulting client in the engineering field is seeking to add a Structural Engineer to their growing team. Some job duties may clude writing structural reports, additions to existing structures, checking roots, checking cooling units, vent hoods, etc. for existing warehouses/large buildings. Candidates will be required to interact with the CAD Designers, lead engineers, and other structural engineers daily. Candidate will direct designers to what structural details are required to be in the construction drawings; review drawings and to ensure that they meet the requirements set forth in the structural.
Project Types may include:
Analysis of existing warehouse structures.
Rooftop antenna installation
Water tank installations.
Analysis of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, bar joists, and soils.

Skills and Requirements
BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (mechanical potentially acceptable)
2+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer with building construction, masonry design, steel design and/or bar joist design
Experience relevant to warehouses and large commercial buildings (ex: Home Depots, Walmarts, Targets, etc.) - Ability to work fully onsite in Kansas City
RISA 3D experience null
