Oracle Cloud Application Architect - REMOTE in Overland Park, Kansas
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Cloud Application Architect
LOCATION: REMOTE

We are hiring a hands on Cloud Application Architect with strong experiences in the following areas:
Deep understanding of Cloud-Native and Event-driven architectures
Hands on experience of Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Helm, and shared storage technologies
Ability to design performant, scalable and observable systems
Hands on experience developing, communicating and implementing DevOps CI/CD pipelines,
with a proper well tested business continuity plan
Strong scripting experience (shell/ python) to automate the deployments
Have worked as part of DevOps team developing and delivering containerized solutions
Serve as technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and able to mentor software development team
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical skills in
area of specialization.
Additional skills:
Experience with cloud technologies (virtualization, storage, PaaS, networking, identity)
Experience with DevOps methodology and tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, GIT)
7 years of hands on experience
5 years of hands on experience with CI/CD tools
Experience working as Linux SA
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Engineering degree with a Technical background highly desired; advanced degree a plus
Communicate complex ideas and topics to multiple audiences
Nice to have:
Experience with modern cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP) including networking, governance, identity, storage, high availability and disaster recovery and operations
Experience and/or certification in OCI is a plus
