Field laborer positions and working supervisor positions are available. We specialize in Polished and Coated concrete surfaces. This individual will perform laborer to prep the floors for work, and gain an understanding of the company safety policies, methods, equipment and material usage and the procedures for polishing and grinding. This position is responsible for ensuring that the jobsite is clean and tooling and equipment are organized.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Primary responsibility is the preparing of surfaces for polishing floors and installing coatings; large amounts of manual labor required.
Slurry control and proper disposal procedures.
Protection of walls and doorway to include installation of tape and plastic and the careful removal and disposal when work is complete.
Complete training to begin to understand basic procedures and methods of tooling and equipment use.
Complete training to begin to understand the use of chemical and color polishing.
Ensure dumpster is utilized properly; communicate any issues with direct Supervisor.
Ensure the jobsite is clean at all times, to include but not limited to, ensuring tools are picked up, equipment is cleaned and organized, trash and spills are cleaned, these to include items in vehicles, trailers and onsite job locations.
Secure jobsite each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Trained in all the functionality and correct usage of squeegee vac and other floor cleaning equipment.
Ensure that all potential job hazards are immediately reported to your Supervisor to also include any equipment and tooling issues.
Inspect electrical cords and equipment; follow safety procedures and notify leads of any hazards.
Responsible for proper material handling, storage and organization.
Responsible for assisting with loading and unloading trucks and trailers to and from jobsites. Ensure the trucks and trailers are free of trash and spills.
Learn and follow all required safety procedures and regulations on the jobsite and ensure incident reporting procedures are carried out.
