Duties
Serve as a consultant primarily on Utility Transformation projects such as, Customer Experience, Customer Service and Billing, Advanced Metering Infrastructure, and Operational Technologies. Demonstrate knowledge of Customer Business Processes, Customer Requirements, Customer trends, and Oracle Customer technologies as well as other Customer technologies. Deliver customer projects through all phases of the project – Analyses, design, build, test, run. Support business development activities and make sales presentations promoting the company’s Customer Capabilities and the value of such capabilities. Develop deliverables such as Requirements Traceability Matrix, Business Processes, Business Process Impact Document, Configuration Guide, and Functional Design. Transfer knowledge, capabilities, and skills to improve others’ knowledge and skill levels. Enhance established working relationships with team members and management from within the client’s organization. Contribute to quality review on customer engagements. Ascertain and meet client expectations within scope of engagement role. Develop applicable knowledge base and capabilities by using best practices to redefine tools and techniques. Outline specific performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate the business case for realized efficiencies or added value. Challenge client’s current strategy and direction through persuasive argument. Define competitive advantage and achievable value to the client through use of the strategic change components and metrics. Apply appropriate methods or recognized equivalent to identified client needs. Anticipate and resolve technical problems with occasional technical assistance from others. Develop, present, and defend conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans. Contribute to quality reviews of assigned engagements. Identify technical issues impacting an engagement and proposed solutions. Manage client expectations within defined scope of engagement. Recommend appropriate resources based on the phases of an assignment. Delegate work to assigned team members. Use defined processes and practices in assessing engagement risks. Utilize specialized knowledge to produce moderately complex work products and solutions across many phases of an engagement or one phase of a more complex engagement. Manage engagement issues in less complex projects or escalates issues in more complex projects. Lead teams, work in small groups, and operate in a client-facing position. Lead and conduct workshops. Travel as needed to various client sites. No hire/fire authority. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Business, or Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of seven years of related experience. Related experience must be in a business or consulting environment working with utilities and customer operations. Must have experience in Customer, AMI, and Operational Technologies. Must have experience delivering customer projects through all phases of the project: Analyses, design, build, test, and run. Must have experience with Customer/1CIS. Must have experience conducting readiness assessments, evaluating results and presenting findings. Must have experience developing a set of actionable and targeted project plans. Must have experience in other Utility Areas: Infrastructure, Distribution, Work and Asset Management. Position allows for 100% remote work in the continental United States. National travel required up to 80% of the time.
