Staples Creative Marketing Lead – UX/UI in Overland Park, Kansas

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee and create digital and printed pieces for clients, including design and development of ecommerce websites, photo direction, copywriting, print catalogs and marketing collateral.

  • Help facilitate training on new functionality and integrate into client processes, web design/development, digital channels, and platforms. Work directly with Managers in C2, Account Services, Merchandising, Customer Service, Special Order, and UX Development teams to continually identify growth opportunities for SPP.

  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to build and maintain an effective creative strategy through multiple platforms on deliverables that scale across multiple areas of the business.

  • Direct photography sessions on-site and remotely, for product and lifestyle imagery used across websites, marketing campaigns, catalogs, and direct-mail pieces.

  • Deliver training on e-commerce knowledge and strategies, UX/UI; guide application of best practices; foster environment which utilizes AI and modern technologies.

  • Encourage and champion innovative thinking within the team, constantly seeking new approaches, technologies, and strategies to drive creativity and improve marketing outcomes.

  • Partner on development of comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business goals and effectively communicate the brand's message across all channels.

  • Conduct user research studies and translate insights into innovative design solutions that are intuitive and visually appealing.

  • Generate visual design wireframes, concepts and prototypes that meet client requirements, clearly articulate the relative merits of each concept, and make recommendations for which would best meet the business objectives.

What you bring to the table:

  • Meticulous attention to detail in prototyping website interfaces and digital design assets.

  • Strong expertise in ecommerce design, layout, user interface, and user experience.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, concepts, and strategies to team members, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD. Expertise in layout and print design/production. Expert in HTML, CSS, and responsive web design/development.

  • Exhibits exceptional project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources efficiently.

  • Ability to manage the planning, design and implementation of multiple sites and applications across multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of user research methodologies, user-centered design principles, and frameworks

  • Understanding of user personas, user flows, affinity mapping, heat maps and other research tools

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Communications or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in brand development, strategic and creative experience

  • 1+ year of UX/UI experience.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience working with Adobe Suite creative programs.

  • Knowledge and experience of the latest version of HTML, CSS, and responsive design/development.

  • Solid understanding of UX and UI design
