Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week

Pay Range: \$97,300.00-\$129,300.00 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Oversee the audit function for Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Responsible for the development and implementation of internal auditing procedures for the entire organization. Lead and perform audit process and monitor results, making recommendations as necessary. Ensure the development and implementation of appropriate automated auditing systems, procedures and practices. Develop and execute strategies for compliance, financial, operation audits, and related projects.

Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree plus 6+ years of related experience, CPA, CIA or other relevant certification

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and oversee the development and implementation of a risk-based audit plan, perform and oversee audits, ensure relevant information is shared, and findings are addressed in a timely and complete manner, and provide the Board of Trustees and JCCC Leadership with assurance regarding the internal audit function.
  • Oversee the administration of the College\'s confidential reporting system on behalf of the College and Board of Trustees, ensuring that complaints are handled appropriately.
  • Provide consultative services to College departments to enhance their internal control practices, advise on policies, procedures, and compliance matters, and provide an independent analysis of a broad range of business functions.
  • Develop and lead the Internal Audit and Advisory Services team to meet the current and future needs of the College.
  • Build strong working relationships and manage external partners related to audit services.
  • Provide continuous guidance on regulatory, financial, and operational risks in a rapidly changing business environment, including proper escalations, notifications, communications, and training.
  • Prepare detailed reports to document work performed and conclusions; discuss findings, observations, and recommendations with appropriate personnel; develop a plan of action to resolve any deficiencies.
  • Report results of audit activities to management and the Board of Trustees.
