Job Summary and Qualifications

  • As the Division Contract Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our healthcare organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of physician contracts, from initial negotiation to execution and management, to ensure that we maintain strong relationships with our healthcare providers and other vendors.

Major Responsibilities

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of contracts with physicians and healthcare providers, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives and industry standards.

  • Compliance: Ensure that all physician contracts comply with relevant healthcare laws and regulations, including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.

  • Contract Management: Oversee the complete contract lifecycle, including drafting, review, payment, and execution, and monitor contract performance to ensure all terms and conditions are met.

  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with vendors and healthcare providers to promote collaboration and resolve any contract-related issues.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis of contracts, assessing their impact on the organization's budget and providing recommendations for cost-effective arrangements.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts, and ensure appropriate insurance and indemnification clauses are in place.

  • Reporting: Generate reports on contract performance, financial impact, and compliance status, and present findings to senior management.

  • Contract Development: Collaborate with legal counsel to develop, modify, and standardize contract templates and associated documents.

  • Vendor Evaluation: Assess potential vendors and healthcare providers for partnership, ensuring they align with our organization's values and strategic goals.

  • Contract Oversight: Monitor contract expiration dates, renewals, and renegotiations as needed, and coordinate efforts to maintain appropriate service levels.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, with a focus on physician contracts in the healthcare industry.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional financial analysis and budget management capabilities.

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple contracts concurrently.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Contract Management (CPHCM) certification is a plus
