You Are:

Edge Solution Architecture professionals translate client requirements into cutting-edge solutions that maximize value for both Accenture and our clients. These professionals use deep technical expertise in Edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial IoT (IIoT), cloud technologies, and robust delivery skills to design solutions that meet the demands of modern enterprises. You will create win-win scenarios through creative solutions, leveraging knowledge of market trends and Accenture offerings, while also utilizing your strong financial acumen to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of these solutions, particularly in optimizing cloud spend through Edge deployments.

As an Edge Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in defining the architecture of edge offerings and solutions, working in collaboration with clients, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Account teams. You will leverage platforms, services, and technologies from cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, alongside OEM platforms and open-source technologies, to design solutions that meet client requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with internal teams, ISVs, and cloud partners to evaluate emerging technologies and their potential application in industry-specific use cases for Edge, IoT, and IIoT.

As an Edge Solution Architect, you will engage deeply with clients to understand their technical and business challenges, deployment models, and cost constraints. Your role is to architect solutions that address these challenges using the latest in Edge technologies, reducing cloud costs, and enabling efficient distributed computing environments.

The Work:

  • Lead and oversee the development of comprehensive Edge solutions that span multiple technologies, addressing client needs across industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, energy, and transportation.

  • Collaborate with clients during the sales process to develop and refine Edge solutions that reduce cloud dependency, optimize cloud costs, and deliver near-real-time data processing at the Edge.

  • Act as a key member of the sales pursuit team, crafting deliverable solutions that align with client business goals and value propositions.

  • Partner with Offering and Pre-Sales teams to develop Edge solution templates, pricing/cost models, and frameworks that accelerate solution development.

  • Shape and contribute to proposals for Edge solutions by defining scope, activities, timelines, and cost estimates.

  • Architect and design cloud-native Edge applications and infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies from leading platforms like Google Distributed Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Azure Stack HCI, AWS Greengrass, Amazon ECS Anywhere, and technologies like Azure IoT Hub, AKS, ARC, Kinesis, Sagemaker, and industrial IoT tools.

  • Work with clients to architect distributed cloud solutions that integrate Edge computing for complex use cases in IoT, AI/ML, and computer vision, ensuring optimized cloud usage and responsiveness.

  • You will understand data flows from Edge to the cloud / private on prem Data-center to enable solutions that require for example computer vision, sensors, conversational AI.

  • Are able to provide technical guidance & know how to teams when creating business cases and to support TCO calculations for different technology options available to client

  • Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional team to implement and deliver Edge and IoT solutions that address clients' business challenges.

  • Provide end-to-end solution leadership, guiding engineers and developers through the successful design, implementation, and deployment of client solutions.

Expectations:

  • Collaborate with sales leadership and delivery teams to craft business cases that justify the implementation of Edge technologies, optimizing cloud spending, and maximizing operational efficiency.

  • Create integrated consulting-led solutions for digital transformation initiatives that align with Accenture's assets and capabilities, focusing on multi-cloud, multi-service group Edge solutions.

  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture, acting as the primary decision-maker for Edge solution design and delivery.

  • Develop solutions that resonate with C-suite executives, demonstrating clear alignment with their business priorities and financial goals, particularly in terms of reducing operational costs through Edge deployments.

  • Lead a multidisciplinary solution support and financials team to deliver winning proposals that drive business outcomes.

  • Work collaboratively across Accenture's ecosystem, networking with key stakeholders to bring innovative Edge solutions to clients.

  • Bring extensive experience in solutioning for consulting, systems integration, data analytics, and cloud-edge architecture.

  • Confidently present and articulate solutions to clients and senior stakeholders, demonstrating the value of Edge computing in reducing cloud dependencies and costs.

  • Stay current with market trends, cloud-edge advancements, and emerging technologies to craft forward-looking solutions that address client needs in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

  • Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here’s What you Need:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience orchestrating complex, multi-service group transformational opportunities, delivering solutions that maximize client value.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working with private and public cloud architectures or Data & AI

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise across multiple cloud platforms and their Edge offerings, including AWS (Greengrass, ECS Anywhere, Kinesis), Microsoft Azure (IoT Hub, Azure Stack HCI, ARC), and Google Cloud (Anthos, Distributed Cloud), as well as OEM platforms like HPE, Dell, Nvidia, and AMD.

  • Proven experience deploying large-scale distributed cloud and Edge solutions in production environments.

  • Experience in working with VmWare skills in the past and understands deeply virtualization technologies. Added bonus if you understand basic networking & connectivity skills too like 5G, SASE, zero trust

  • Experience in architecting enterprise-level applications that leverage Edge and IoT technologies.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams in a collaborative, innovative environment.

  • Proven ability to creatively solve complex problems in cloud-edge architectures and deliver high-impact client solutions.

  • AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications at the Expert/Professional level in architecture or specialization tracks.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide clients and internal teams.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
