Aerotek Electrical Engineer in Overland Park, Kansas

Responsibilities

General product development with AC and DC sources Design and construct prototype PCB for testing and evaluation Build and troubleshoot simple to complex circuitry Create and maintain documentation to track project development and design process Perform testing and validation of new designs May be involved in fabrication, assembly, and/or installation of new products Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams Communicate and interact with local and overseas contract manufacturersEvaluate electrical products and systems by designing testing methods

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program 6-10 years of experience in a design/production position Lighting/LED product design experience PCB design experience, SolidWorks PCB, KICAD, ORCAD, EAGLE or Altium. Microprocessor experience hardware and software Switch mode power supply design general knowledge Comprehension of Bluetooth and WIFI mesh systems Awareness of Android and Linux operating systems Working knowledge of Python, C, and assembly languages Awareness of IoT systems and subsystems PLC background with Allen Bradley, motion control and Micro 800 series preferred Experience with National Instrument LABview for testing and software production Familiarity with National Instrument PXI and DAQ hardware platforms and cards Basic SolidWorks 3D software experience Broad knowledge of Electronics and Electrical standard and practices Previous UL product design testing and certification Excellent knowledge of Visual basic for Microsoft office specifically Visio SPICE Simulation of Circuits LTSPICE a Plus Experience with Spectrum analyzers, Oscilloscopes, 4-point resistance measurement, electrochemical instrumentation Ability to communicate effectively and clearly Must be self-motivated and a great team worker Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills Ability to work on multiple projects at once
