Job Duties:

  • This Electrical Engineer will fulfill a technical role in the Final Electrical Assembly organization

  • Engineers in this organization provide engineering support of highly technical product and processes typically requiring specialized qualifications, knowledge, and/or skill

  • This engineer will have product engineering responsibilities including: development, evaluation, production, trouble shooting, and quality control functions on complex engineering projects and electrical and electromechanical assemblies

  • This position will be responsible for partnering with supporting business units and ensuring products are built to specification and function as intended

  • Translates design agency concepts into production items by coordinating the activities of engineering, quality, manufacturing, and related organizations

  • Influences design agency for new designs, defines and recommends design changes, and alternate designs of instruments, and test equipment, and orders tooling, gaging, and equipment necessary to assure product quality

  • Plans and performs engineering testing and development programs and uses advanced statistical and scientific methods to address and resolve critical engineering and production problems to assure product manufacturability

  • Determines acceptability of processes and materials in conjunction with customers, design agency, quality, and other affected organizations

  • Interacts with customers, design agency and/or supplier counterparts to resolve moderate to complex design, development, production and acceptance issues

  • Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to """"stop"""" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified.

    You Must Have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program

  • No prior experience required

  • Demonstrated analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation

  • Ability to obtain/maintain DOE Q clearance

    We Value:

  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes and techniques

  • General knowledge of flex cable design and understanding of surface mount technology

  • Knowledge of HASS testing and electrical troubleshooting
