In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. Summary of Duties:
Conducts technical reviews of certification packets for product acceptance from suppliers
Participates on teams to provide quality input for the development, manufacture, procurement, and acceptance of a variety of products
Develops, writes, and edits detailed procedures for inspection processes
Provides technical assistance to inspection areas
Develops and monitors quality metrics, levels, and trends in support of department and commodity goals
Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding product discrepancies
Evaluates opportunities for defect prevention and implements preventative corrective actions
Works with engineers to facilitate on-line data entry for process characterizations
Interacts with customers, designers, and others to assist in resolving design, development, production, and acceptance issues
Provides support to engineering during design and qualification processes
Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established Health, Safety, & Environmental (HS&E) requirements to ensure the protection of associates, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to stop work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every associate has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified
Utilizes computer skills: use of MSOffice applications and other internal software applications (shop floor execution, ERP, CA tracking) to analyze, execute, track and report business results
You Must Have:
US Citizenship required in order to obtain and maintain US Department of Energy Q-level security clearance
Bachelor degree or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelor degree
Two or more years' experience in a similar position working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
