Introduction to the team
As a Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for advising mid-market clients (CFOs, Controllers, Directors of IT and CEOs) on strategic system initiatives including ERP, CRM, HCM and associated best of breed applications for vertically specific markets. Working with the Enterprise Systems Consulting (ESC) team, you will leverage your ERP advisory experience to guide assessment and selection projects using our proven methodologies. You will be on point for assessing client needs, detailing functional requirements, drafting requests for proposals, guiding diligence sessions and demonstrations, and providing quantitative results to support system and vendor selection with the highest level of quality.
To qualify as a Consulting Manager, you must have a breadth of experience across many industries (Professional Services, eCommerce, Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Software, Nonprofits, etc.) and many brands of prevalent Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Intacct, Infor, Oracle, Acumatica, etc.) You must also bring a passion for helping clients find ways to run their businesses more effectively. Prepare deliverables which show an excellent command of understanding the client's business processes.
Independently run client meetings and be the main point of contact for the client.
Perform key analysis without supervision, including transforming interview notes into a well thought out analysis of the client's pain points and limitations to growth.
Attend subject matter expert interviews and take detailed notes that will form the basis of future deliverables.
Leverage our selection methodology to deliver quantitative decision support to clients regarding vendor capabilities and risks.
Coordinate meetings with clients to review deliverables and keep regular, clear project documentation from each meeting.
Develop process diagrams that pictorially convey the client's business processes.
Track and ensure the completion of all project deliverables and project tasks.
Provide weekly status updates to clients, Moss Adams client relationship owners, and other stakeholders as deemed appropriate.
Monitor and anticipate project overages and prepare documentation for the change request process.
Minimum 2-3 years of direct ERP advisory consulting experience
Minimum 7 years of experience working in a medium to large business setting
Experienced in analyzing, making recommendations and preparing high-quality professional deliverables for a variety of business software projects
First-hand working knowledge of how the software companies sell software versus how they sell their services and the variances from vendor to vendor for their selling model
Direct vendor vetting experience of most of the prevalent software packages such as: NetSuite, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Infor, Intacct, Acumatica and Sage
Proven track record in working with executive management to successfully navigate delays and budget overages
Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Accounting, CIS or equivalent Experience
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
