One Gas Field Technician Senior.Instrumentation in Overland Park, Kansas

What You Will Do
Assist with equipment, system, line and valve installations; calibrate and maintain equipment related to pressure, measurement, and basic instrumentation.
Assist with installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining regulator settings and relief valves, as well as installing and configuring large industrial meter sets or pressure monitoring sites.
Assist with installing, testing, calibrating, and maintaining gas measurement, regulation, and recording devices and equipment including:
Chromatographs/ Sampling systems
Electronic odorization systems
Flow computers
Satellite equipment
Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and remote terminal units and equipment
Pigging lines
Locating lines
Blowing drips
Changing charts
Filling odorant pots
Regulating gas flow and pressure
Monitoring dew points
Collecting gas samples
Conduct field tests and proving meters and modifications to regulators and reliefs.
Drive and maintain company vehicle.
Prepare and review applicable compliance reporting
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
HS Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in basic use of computers, including Microsoft Suite as needed.
Working knowledge of regulation equipment installation and maintenance.
Working knowledge of use, function, and maintenance of tools applicable to position.
Working knowledge in application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
Working knowledge and training relative to:
Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
Changing charts
Basic customer service activities
Characteristics of natural gas
Knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline systems.
Read and interpret internal and external mapping applications work logs, job orders, consumption rates, charts, and operational and repair manuals.
Read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license
CDL preferred
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 10-15 times a day; up to 20 pounds 5-10 times a day; up to 30 pounds 5-10 times a day; over 50 pounds 3-5 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including:
Mud
Gravel
Sand
Rocks
Ice
Snow
Climb fences; walk, stand, kneel/stoop, and drive for extended periods.
React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
Smell odorant in natural gas.
Detect and react to warning signals at work sites.
Operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and exchange information or instructions including use of company two way radio.
Accurate depth perception.
Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.
