One Gas Field Technician Specialist.Instrumentation in Overland Park, Kansas

What You Will Do
Perform a specialized level of work related to installation, calibration, and maintenance of gas measurement, and control devices.
Independently install, tests, calibrates, and maintains gas measurement, regulation, and recording devices and equipment including:
• Calorimeters
• Gravitometers
• Chromatographs
• Telemetering systems
• Electronic odorization systems
• Flow computers
• Meter tubes and orifice plates
• Satellite equipment
• Hydrogen sulfide monitors
• Supervisory Control and Date Acquisition (SCADA) systems and remote terminal units and equipment
Independently perform and observes measurement equipment calibration tests.
Maintain, calibrates, and repairs company measurement testing/proving equipment.
Maintain inventory; procures and stocks instrument and equipment parts.
Calculate, prepare, and maintain multiple records and reports including:
• Equipment calibration
• Equipment testing
• Schematic drawing and diagrams
• Material requisitions and purchase orders
• Meter tube/orifice plate ratios
• Orifice and positive meter flow rates and capacities
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
HS Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in basic use of computers, including Microsoft Suite.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including:
• Manual/power tools
• Electronic testing devices
• Control devices
• Computers/laptops
Experience with the application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested). Application of algebraic and geometric formulas.
Experience and training related to:
• Electronics and principles of electricity
• Measurement equipment and meter testing procedures
• Company and governmental operating/safety policies, procedures, and regulations
Experience installing, calibrating, and maintaining gas measurement, regulation, recording, and quality control devices.
Experience reading and interpreting manuals, charts, dials, gauges, graphs, and schematic drawings and diagrams.
Read and interpret internal and external mapping applications work logs, job orders, consumption rates, and operational and repair manuals.
Read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license.
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 15-20 times a day; up to 20 pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 30 pounds 3-5 times a day; up to 40 pounds 2-3 times a day; over 50 pounds 2-3 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including:
• Mud
• Gravel
• Sand
• Rocks
• Ice
• Snow
Stationary for extended periods.
Fine motor skills for making minute adjustments.
Drive for extended periods.
Operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and exchange information and instruction verbally including use of two-way radios and cellular telephones.
Visual acuity to perform job responsibilities.
