Optiv IAM Support Engineer | Remote, USA in Overland Park, Kansas

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer will be responsible for the support, deployment, management and troubleshooting of Optiv’s identity management solutions. The IAM Engineer will manage all facets of access at Optiv in both cloud and on premise working closely with other teams to optimize and automate processes related to access management.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Perform support on ServiceNow Tickets related to access to systems and applications

  • Lead projects which enhance or improve IAM and RBAC

  • Maintain applications related to IAM and RBAC

  • Ensure IAM and RBAC configurations meet NIST standards and Optiv security policies

  • Maintain both cloud and premise-based systems to maintain availability of 99.99% 7x24x365

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or related fields or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

  • 5+ years of work experience in IAM and RBAC support under NIST 800-53 policies and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of PingOne application for SSO and experience in its support and integration to enterprise applications

  • Working knowledge of industry best practices and NIST guidelines for access administration (Provisioning, de-provisioning), access enforcements (authentication protocols) and access governance (certification, logging, monitoring etc.)

  • Hands on experience in Active Directory and Entra ID administration and third-party Privileged Account Management (PAM) solutions

  • Experience in Enterprise Identity Directory System (AD Directory Services, ADFS, Forest Trust, AD Rights Management Service, etc.) and Azure AD (AAD Connect, Conditional Access Policy, Entitlement Management, etc.)

  • Experience with LDAP, SAML, SMAL assertions, relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle), authentication, and authorization concepts

  • Understanding of a hybrid joined domain and its impacts on granting and managing access to critical business systems.

  • Knowledge of Radius servers and management

  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices related to support

  • Experience in both public cloud and premise-based solutions
