Oracle Implementation Manager - Food and Beverage Consulting (East Coast or Midwest) in Overland Park, Kansas

Responsible for supervising a team of Implementation Consultants and/or Consulting Implementation Managers, ensuring quality work at customer sites. Has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or industry technology products. Monitors Implementation Consultant and/or Consulting Implementation Managers activities and performance on projects. May serve as project advisor for more complex engagements

Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. May participate in sales proposals in a pre-sales capacity. May assist with end-user training and take the establishment live on the system after everything has been configured and everyone is trained. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Typically leads both managers and Individual Contributors for a territory/region. Develops and executes strategic regional plans with guidance from the Area Manager or Director. Demonstrates multiple business processes expertise within one product family. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements.

Four year degree preferred and 5 7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years implementation consulting experience preferred. Deep knowledge of Implementation Consultant role. Product or technical expertise relevant to area of focus. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to relate to customers and understand their needs. Ability to build rapport with team members. Ability to travel as needed.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Implementation Manager - Food and Beverage Consulting

Location: East Coast or Midwest

As an Implementation Manager, you will have 7 years of professional work experience in both Technical and Resource management, leading a team to deliverrestaurant systems and other Oracle products to F&B businesses that require localized installation. Implementation manager will have direct reports and coordinate client site product installations and manage the day to day onsite activities during the product installation process.

*Job Description *

  • Manages Oracle POS implementation projects for clients in the Food and Beverage industry with technical and resource oversight

  • Acts as the point of contact for customers and internal resources including escalations on various projects

  • Ensure customers successfully migrate to the Oracle POS solution in the most optimal way, with an effective transition to support upon project closure

  • Oversees the scope during the course of the project and collaboratively adjusts scope where necessary ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures

  • Reviews project financials consistently at various levels; manages data quality and accuracy in financial reporting

  • Control and review all travel requirements and expenses, ensuring alignment to project budgets

  • Assists with technical insight on sales estimations and enablement with product knowledge and advise based on customer needs

  • Monitors and manages project deliverables are executed within budget and as per approved project plan and within policies and procedures defined

  • Monitors project health continuously and engages management as required if project health changes

  • Anticipates and effectively manages risks; aligns decisions to Oracle’s risk profile

  • Provides direction and support to the implementation team and review deliverables prepared

  • Manages accounts for the Food and Beverage Global Business Unit

  • Ability to manage major or large scale and complex system projects through all phases of the project life cycle

  • Proven business acumen; strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills

  • Able to address steering committee review boards

  • Proven ability to deliver results in an environment where resources are shared across multiple competing groups


  • Food and Beverage industry experience in a supervisor capacity

  • 7 years of professional experience as a Manager in a client / customer facing role

  • Oracle POS experience desired

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in using Microsoft applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Must be able travel up to 10%

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Highly organized with excellent time management

  • Deadline drive, results oriented

  • Able to prioritize multiple requests and action accordingly
