In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. Summary:
This individual is skilled in the field of Industrial Engineering and will be part of a multi-functional team to implement Smart Factory initiatives at the Kansas City National Security Campus. The individual is capable of working minimal supervision including independent action and decision making.
The selected candidate will:
Interface with internal KCNSC personnel and external collaborators to achieve Smart Factory objectives
Apply Lean principles in combination with technology to transform KCNSC manufacturing spaces and processes
Stay current with relevant emerging technology and business trends
You Must Have:
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from and accredited program
Four or more years of relevant experience in engineering or related technical activities
US citizenship in order to obtain and maintain US Dept of Energy ""Q"" level security clearance

Certification, training, or experience applying Theory of Constraints, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies
Demonstrated application of statistics, statistical modeling, statistical process control, and data visualization to improve manufacturing processes
Ability to work in a team environment
