CTG is seeking anIT Communications Specialistfor our client based in Irving, Texas. This position isremote/work from home.
A communications specialist is expected to be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, communications specialists should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal role-players.
Communications Specialist Functions:
Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
Distill technical information for mass consumption through the creation of job aids, technical documents and instructions
Create story decks which detail project or program impact
Approach all communication with the end user in mind.
Proactively identify opportunities for advance communication related to changes or new technology
Work with training and implementation teams to develop key messages• Identify and address stakeholder groups and create messaging for those audiences
Facilitate meetings and working sessions
Communications Specialist Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, or a related field (Required).
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in communications strategy execution (Required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
Strategic and creative mindset.
Meticulous attention to detail.
A portfolio of work available for review.
Solid written skills required.
Technical writing experience preferred but not required.
Technical and business analytical skills would be helpful.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
