The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled IT Operations Analyst to join our team and assist with office/project site stand-ups, relocations, and demobilizations, circuit orders and cancelations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with telecom vendors, maintaining tickets, and providing excellent customer service. In this role, the IT Operations Analyst will work with the Operations team, BV Facilities team, IT Finance Team, and ISP vendors to ensure network service delivery to regional offices, project sites, and data centers.
The Team
Black & Veatch’s Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with site IT preparation, including identifying potential ISPs, requesting quotes, and placing orders for service.
Track multiple in-flight projects concurrently.
Maintain a comprehensive list of circuit IDs, ISP contact information, and trouble ticket escalation information.
Track installation and disconnect orders, including submittal and completion dates.
Create and maintain tickets, providing comprehensive and relevant updates.
Interact with local customers and stakeholders to identify IT challenges and ensure customer satisfaction and productivity.
Analyze and solve problems with attention to detail within the operations domains.
Identify problems requiring escalation to the larger team.
Escalate to senior team members as needed for advanced issues.
Provide consistent and clear communication with customers and teammates.
Follow established BV & OSHA safety standards while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience in IT operations or related field
Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft products
Familiarity with ticketing systems and customer service best practices
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel if needed.
Applicants must be able to obtain any security clearances and background confirmation required by clients for sensitive projects and locations.
Must use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
Ability to lift 50lbs on an intermittent basis.
OSHA 10 Hour Certification (or better) a plus, but not required.

Availability:
Available to work weekends and off hours.
Supervision – Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
