Honeywell Lead Business Process and Information Architect in Overland Park, Kansas

In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. This position will be in Kansas City, MO

Summary of Duties:

  • Translate business strategy to necessary business outcomes and technical deliverables

  • Connect business processes between functions to clarify business and technical capability needs and investigate dependencies

  • Proposing prioritization and sequencing of capabilities to expedite incremental value and solve near-term business needs while progressing towards the future state

  • Partner with Data Architect and IT Architecture team in developing a solution framework to enhance data quality and availability that aligns with and delivers business capability and plan

  • Translate enterprise and business strategy and capability roadmaps for Enterprise and Domain Architects as well as other technology leaders, including recommendations to preserve the integrity and ensure the delivery of a holistic, integrated solution

  • Oversee the creation and governance of business architecture artifacts, as well as common standards and methods for developing and incorporating business architecture in the enterprise

  • Partnering with the Data Governance Office to capture requirements, document processes, and participate in meetings and working sessions

  • Work with program managers identifying issues/risks and required mitigation to ensure delivery of end-to-end strategic design

  • Successfully communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to executive stakeholders

  • Develop Blueprints for Artifacts in Business Domains

  • Catalog Footprints on the blueprints along critical Business Value Chains cutting across various business domains

  • Acts as operational and program resource and leader within EIM function

  • Effectively manages vendor and third-party administrator relationships

    You Must Have:

  • Accredited BA/BS Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in business management, ISC, IT, operations, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience as a business process architect working with data governance including 2+ years of recent experience assisting in the development of a data governance program

  • 5+ years of data-centric IT work

  • 3+ years-experience leading others including budget management is required

  • Broad knowledge of records, information management, and protection laws, regulations, and best practices

  • Information governance experience, including in the areas of personal information, Firm/Company information, Systems, and Infrastructure

  • Expertise in application development in the Business Intelligence function and the tools and technologies associated with this

  • Excellent technical creativity in designing the best performing, lowest total cost of ownership solutions for the business problems presented

  • High level understanding of Big Data platforms and applications

  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and collaborative work style

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 10%
