Positions in this function assist in monitoring drug inventory within pharmacy mail order computer system. Processes drug purchases, verifies shipments against invoices, follows up on discrepancies. Maintains proper storage of drug inventory. Monitors and adjusts / calibrates pharmacy equipment, fills dispensing units. Processes, packs and ships outgoing pharmacy orders. Pharmacy Technician positions will require state registration / licensure as applicable.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform similar duties as the highest level staff person in the job family, as well as undertaking escalated issues / problems

  • Assist with efficient workflow of unit; assign, monitor, and review work, monitors unit attendance and may assist in scheduling

  • Orient, train, and coach individual contributing staff

  • Provide attendance / punctuality reports to management

  • Monitoring out - going pharmaceutical inventory, packing, shipping and storage

  • Act as a department resource and provides guidance / training to other staff members

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Under general supervision, acts as a lead in addition to performing similar and more complex duties than that of the highest level staff position in the job family.

  • Uses established policies, procedures and guidelines in assisting supervisor with efficient workflow of the area

  • Extensive work experience within own function

  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures

  • Work independently

  • May act as a resource for others

  • May coordinate others activities

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • Valid and current Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Kansas

  • Must be available to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 3:00 pm and 1:30 am, Sunday through Thursday. Must be available outside of scheduled shift time and / or on Fridays for overtime depending on business needs.

  • 2+ years of pharmacy related experience (including retail pharmacy experience)

  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications

  • 1+ years of professional leadership experience

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive

  • Must work well with all levels of employees, must be outgoing, motivated, and approachable
