YRC Freight Logistics Solutions Manager in Overland Park, Kansas


The Logistics Solutions Manager will grow revenue by positioning brokerage services with enterprise accounts, leading to greater share of wallet, diversification of services within account and higher account retention.


  1. Service expert

o Develops deep knowledge and expertise about brokerage services and how they can benefit customers businesses.

o Serve as service experts for internal enterprise sales teams and large enterprise accounts.

  1. Dedicated account management

o Develops deep understanding of enterprise accounts they are assigned to and serves as a key member (customer and sales facing) for the customer team

o Proactively identifies customer needs and provides reliable information and solutions to meet those needs.

o Works directly with customers to solve logistics problems, provide consulting and solutions.

o Provides support directly to customers, serving as the quarterback of the customer POD support team to make sure solutions are proactively provided and issues resolved.

o Serve as a strategic resource for CAE and other account team members to provide solutions, ideas and problem solving.

o Increase share of wallet and retention with enterprise accounts.

  1. Strategic support

o Provide strategic insights and BI for customer meetings, new business pitches and QBRs.

o Identify issues or opportunities (internal, customer & market) and share with CAEs to help them compile information that helps them create deeper, strategic relationships with current point of contact or new points of contact within accounts.

  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Economics or a related field.

  2. Effective verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  3. Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.

  4. High energy attitude and desire to work hard while having fun.

  5. Intermediate competency in Microsoft Excel.


  1. Previous Account Management/Sales experience in the transportation, 3PL, or supply chain industry.

  2. Four (4) years sales experience.

  3. Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
