Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. You will understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings. Additionally, you will translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functions.
Responsibilities
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts.
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Essential Skills
Experience in machine operation, particularly CNC machines.
Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Proficiency in using hand tools.
Strong inspection skills to ensure quality control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift, bend, and stoop as required by the job.

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled in the warehouse, with a warmer area near the machines. The standard work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Overland Park, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00
