Job Summary
Deliver strategic and creative design solutions across a variety of touchpoints including packaging, in-store POS, sales & marketing collateral, and trade materials. Manage, develop, and implement the creative business objectives and initiatives for Morton Marketing & Sales as a hands-on design manager. Provide concepts thru final production artwork, ensuring that all final files are print ready. Create and manage digital assets and coordinate artwork approvals across Consumer and B2B.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, refine, and execute impactful creative solutions for packaging, POS displays & signage, marketing/sales collateral, selling tools, trade show materials/booth and coupons for the Consumer and B2B businesses.
- Develop final production keylines for all materials and ensure projects are completed within deadlines.
- Be the design partner and expert for packaging projects.
- Utilize current trends in design and applicable design technology to elevate the brand.
- Be the main point of contact for managing design, artwork and Morton assets.
- Support the overall creative needs of each businesses including Culinary & Home Care (Water Softening Salt, Ice Melt, Pool Salt) and Industrial/B2B & Food Service. For Licensing, provide support through compliance with Morton brand guidelines.
- Design, develop and execute new packaging, POS & marketing/sales collateral from initial concepts through final artwork (keylines).
- Develop, revise and/or update production artwork files for packaging labels, bags, cartons, shipping cases/trays and displays as needed. Work with Procurement, Package Engineering, Marketing and other project relevant departments in the timely development of packaging updates and changes.
- Create and maintain final artwork files for all segments of the Morton Salt business. Ensure that artwork files are available and formatted to meet required supplier specs. Develop and maintain library of all internally developed assets.
- Share assets to company portals and agencies as required/requested.
- Create and maintain brand identity standards and guidelines and help ensure company-wide compliance with brand guidelines.
- Prioritize workloads with external contract/agency support.
- Lead the development, usage, and maintenance of the BLUE Artwork Approvals system for approval and storage (asset library) of project documentation and proofs.
- Work with print vendors to understand their capabilities and to ensure color and print quality consistency.
- Additional duties as needed (i.e. corporate projects/sales meetings, etc.)
