Summary

The Master Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining the data integrity of the E1/JD Edwards systems. This role involves setting guidelines and standards for data entry and quality control, training and mentoring team members, resolving data-related issues, and collaborating with other departments to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations. The Master Data Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the organization has reliable and trustworthy data for decision-making and operational purposes.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise the Master Data group for Compass Minerals International Inc.

  • Responsible for ensuring data integrity within E1/JD Edwards by regularly evaluating and auditing the data collection processes.

  • Manage data within E1/JD Edwards along with “bolt-on” system’s that integrate into E1 that Compass Minerals utilizes.

  • Provide leadership in data management activities.

  • Manage and ensure that data is accurate by conducting audits and identifying trends that may indicate problems with data quality.

  • Design and implement data management policies and procedures for compliance with best in class processes

  • Assist with reporting and data extraction when requested.

  • Review data sources to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • 3 years of experience in data management required.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Associates degree

  • Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

  • Experience with data management systems preferred.

  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to lead process improvements preferred.

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
