Description:

Aerotek is partnered with a leading provider, seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join their diverse and inclusive team! The Medical Office Specialist provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. Assist with prior authorizations for radiology and medications and/or procedure scheduling Verifies patient's demographic and insurance information Collecting all the necessary documentation, contacting the client for additional information and completion of the required prior authorization in order to proceed with testing Complete, timely, and accurate identification and submission of prior and retro authorization requests to the payors Interacts with clients, insurance companies, patients, and sales representatives, as necessary, to request for prior authorizations Calls insurance companies to get medications approved that may have been denied due to formulary changes

The right candidate will be energetic, hard working, have a passion for their job, able to multi-task and driven to gain a connection with our employees and patients. We are seeking a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, detail oriented, strong analytical ability. eClinicalWorks experience is highly preferred. Prefer someone with experience performing prior authorizations for medications & radiology procedures or procedure scheduling. Must have excellent oral and written communications. Must have the ability to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while working under pressure. Must be dependable, reliable, and timely.
