T-Mobile Payroll Specialist in Overland Park, Kansas

Perform a variety of support tasks associated with multi-state payroll operations. Typically processes one or more of the following: terminations and final payment, tax changes, deductions, direct deposit set up, direct deposit returns, unclaimed wages, review exception reports to resolve issues, time sheet data, rate changes, batch pay entries, retroactive adjustments, off-cycle payments and other special pays.

What you’ll do in your role.

•Process wage and salary payments, audit/enter time data, and schedule garnishment deductions

•Calculate and process off-cycle payments (checks or pay cards)

•Handle general inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and time/attendance

•Offer suggestions, advice, and solutions regarding payroll processing procedures

The experience you’ll bring.

•Requires a minimum of 1-2 year of related experience working with multi-state payroll, payroll tax or Garnishment administration

•Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks

•Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice

•Has comprehensive understanding of the job, relevant multi-state Payroll Laws (i.e. FLSA), and Payroll Tax regulations and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks

•Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments

•Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment

•Consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience

•Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency

•Ability to understand, apply and operate within FLSA, Department and Company Guidelines. Demonstrate knowledge of current HR and Payroll Regulations (I-9, FLSA, IRS)

•Knowledge of SAP, ADP, Excel, MS Office products required

•Highly accurate with attention to detail

•Ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to change

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
