Job Description

The Production Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing one of four production lines (1.Electrode 2. Formation 3. Assembly 4. Winding), ensuring targets are met, implementing manufacturing strategy, and driving continuous improvement in production efficiency. The PM collaborates closely with stakeholders, aligns their leadership with core principles, and mentors staff for excellence. They also focus on maximizing production levels, meeting KPIs, and maintaining safe manufacturing standards. It's expected that the team reporting up to them will be 4 supervisors with 100 to 200 production staff on each team.

The Production Manager is a key player in ramping up and in sustaining our manufacturing activities. The Manager is the owner of the management of assigned production line(s), contributing leadership support to all facets of production and ensuring production goals are continually met. The Manager will use various processes and methods to transform raw materials, components, and parts into finished Lithium Ion batteries. Additionally, the Manager will own responsibility for implementing production manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals, thereby exceeding customer expectations for product quality, cost, and delivery. Furthermore, the Manager will efficiently maximize and optimize production levels while driving operational excellence. The Manager works closely with internal and external key stakeholders and strives for best-in-class products and business practices. The Manager will drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across assigned Manufacturing Operations and ensure all projects are delivered with the highest quality standards, while maintaining budgetary guidelines and strict deadlines. Inspires, motivates, and mentors staff to achieve excellence, and have the drive and passion to grow self and others. Essential Duties:

· Ensure that company resources are utilized to sustain safe manufacturing and distribution excellence

· Manage functional production teams to meet manufacturing KPIs

· Empower, develop, and reward individuals and teams for performance and growth

· Manage continuous improvement in production efficiency, implementing Lean principles

· Coordinate and interact with internal cross-functional teams to fulfill customer and company goals

· Attend Management meetings and provide detailed input on status of production goals

· Other duties as assigned

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent experience

5+ years experience as a Production Manager in a true Production & Manufacturing environment

Supervisor with strong experience can suffice

24/7, high volume, automation manufacturing environment

Foundational and practical knowledge of Machine Controls & Instrtrumentation

Continuous Improvement, Lean Principles & KPI creation and tracking.

Management of 50 to 70+ in/direct employees Masters in Business (MBA) or Masters of Science (MS)

Lean Six Sigma Certification, 5S, SAP/ERP Systems etc.

MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook etc.) null
