You will be playing a critical role to advance our retail-focused strategy, build and own technology roadmap, drive the modern architecture of a highly engaged consumer-facing web application, collaborate with business partners in building personalized journeys for our senior members and lead the cloud adoption to provide consistent omnichannel experience for our members.
The Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
7 or more years of experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
3 to 5 years as an application architect
Strong experience with and knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure or Cloud-native development
Strong experience with and knowledge of omni-channel applications and experiences
Experience working with and building CI/CD pipelines
Strong experience with and knowledge of back-end, including. NET Core
Experience with and knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Docker
Experience with and knowledge of OAuth2.0 and/or OIDC
Good understanding of Content Management systems - preferably Adobe Experience Manager
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience in securing APIs using modern methodologies
Solid experience in writing scalable, stateless applications and APIs
Solid understanding of object-oriented patterns and practices
Experience in debugging highly distributed systems
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
