Introduction to the team

The growing Business Consulting Services team is a collaborative, multi-service line group. We are committed to providing superior client service through strong relationships, holistic assessments, and high value deliverables with actionable solutions. Our work often focuses on identifying ways to improve organizational performance through practical strategies tailored to the individual organizational needs aimed at empowering positive change. The Business and Systems Analyst will work on a variety of projects for our clients, who are primarily within the public sector, not-for-profit, and tribal industry groups. This role will focus on project management, systems documentation, business process design and improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively listen, gather, and analyze data to synthesize into information through document reviews, conducting interviews, and facilitating focus groups.

  • Identify and assess business processes, system requirements, and organizational goals.

  • Draft and document comprehensive business and system process maps.

  • Create clear and well-structured business requirements and standard operating procedures.

  • Evaluate alignment of system requirements to documented requirements and identified business needs.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of process pain points and identify relevant opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify performance metrics and indicators to facilitate reporting and tracking of process improvement goals.

  • Maintain ongoing and proactive communication regarding assigned projects and clients.

  • Organize and communicate information within deliverables in a manner that conveys a succinct and compelling concept for all clients.

  • Deliver walkthroughs and training on business process documentation to clients.

  • Work on a wide range of projects with defined deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required; Business Analysis certificate preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a business or systems analyst; experience working with governments, higher education, or not-for profit organizations preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and delivering solution-based outcomes.

  • Strong verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills

  • Able to understand problems, think critically and use intellectual curiosity to identify creative solutions

  • Highly effective time management, organizational and project management skills, proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing numerous projects/priorities often under tight deadlines

  • Able to take direction, learn quickly, and work independently to meet project objectives

  • Self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau) and mind mapping software preferred

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 30%.
