The Senior Fuels Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and operational excellence for the Smart Asset Integrity Management (SAIM), leveraging their deep expertise to address challenges and maximize efficiency within the aviation fueling industry. This role focuses on analyzing data, fostering industry partnerships, and delivering solutions that align with SAIMs mission to reduce risks, enhance efficiency, and drive measurable ROI for its stakeholders. The Senior Fuels Specialist will also provide collaborative support to ACI (Aviation Construction and Infrastructure), a sister company, ensuring alignment and leveraging synergies where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business analytics to provide ROI insights using SAIM data.
  • Conduct efficiency studies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and mitigate risks at both system and component levels.
  • Perform manpower planning analyses, differentiating roles for mechanics and operators, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist airlines with capital planning, annual budget development, and risk reduction strategies.
  • Oversee the evaluation and rollout of Into Plane/Inventory management solutions, integrating technology to solve operational challenges.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for maintenance and operations (M&O) processes.
  • Support the integration of A4A insurance evaluation data into SAIM to monitor progress in risk mitigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to assess component and system performance using SAIM data, driving informed decision-making.

Manufacturer and Industry Coordination:

  • Foster alignment with manufacturers (e.g., Gammon, Cla-Val, Facet) to support smart fuel facility evaluations and technological advancements.
  • Engage with industry standards bodies (e.g., ASTM, API, EI) to ensure SAIM remains at the forefront of aviation fueling innovation.
  • Explore and develop opportunities to monetize SAIM insights for manufacturers and other stakeholders.

General Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison among industry stakeholders, including owners, operators, and vendors, to drive coordinated efforts across the aviation fueling ecosystem.
  • Represent SAIM in steering committees and industry forums to influence and guide industry initiatives.
  • Provide strategic input and support for marketing and business development efforts to grow SAIMs footprint.

Support for Sister Company (ACI):

  • Provide collaborative expertise to ACI in design and construction projects, offering insights to optimize fuel facility operations.
  • Assist with navigating relationships with airline partners to align project scopes with operational needs.
  • Support the evalu tion of technical training demand and help establish training programs (e.g., Fuel University) in partnership with ACI.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance operational knowledge and skills among SAIM stakeholders.
  • Conduct internal training for staff to deepen understanding of aviation fueling consortiums and airline operations.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree inengineering, business, analytics or related field (advanced degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Extensive experience (10+ years) in the aviation fueling industry, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Proven expertise in managing and delivering large-scale operational projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using data to drive strategy.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities to engage and align with diverse stakeholders.
