Insight Global Senior Network Architect Manager in Overland Park, Kansas
Job Description
The Senior Network Architect Manager leads all networking initiatives and the global network team. This person is responsible for network infrastructure lifecycle management planning, design, oversight, and optimization. They collaborate extensively with world-wide our clients business and IT professionals, as well as with US-based Infrastructure, Applications, and Information Security teams, and with third-party vendors and contractors. They focus heavily on the strategic and architectural design of on-premises and cloud networking solutions. They help support a robust network environment by supporting office moves, troubleshooting, and design/configuration. This individual also uses their expertise in SDWAN, Routing Architectures, and knowledge of Data Center connectivity to oversee both large and small installations, utilizing a variety of both on-premises and cloud platforms. This candidate is a recognized communicator, subject matter expert, thought leader, champion for technology adoption and compliance, and a passionate empathizer for client needs. They will be managing a team of 3+ individuals while remaining hands on with 1 Network Engineer and 2 Senior Network Architects (open headcounts).
The primary initiatives for the next 6 months are focused on a tech debt refresh to modernize their equipment (theyve finished 5-6 sites and are expanding to Asia region), working toward Zero Trust, zScaler, ZIA and ZPA work, building a virtual data center in India (DNS work through their hosting provider, Equinix Network Edge), and network segmentation.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations
Leads our client and 3rd party global networking teams.
Is the Face of Networking to our clients world-wide community, acting as a point of contact for issues, questions and support escalation needs.
Architects and designs complex networking solutions to meet our clients evolving global business needs.
Maintains contacts and builds relationships with the operating businesses, IT management, IT vendors and technical architects to ensure availability, security, and satisfaction.
Leads identification of new and improved networking approaches, technologies, tools, templates, and business use cases.
Leads deployment and configuration of a complex, global network Infrastructure environment.
Assesses on-prem data centers, office locations, and clouds for network capacity, connectivity, performance, and resiliency.
Reviews/Approves/Represents Change Tickets in the Network Infrastructure area.
Leads networking break-fix situations with multiple team members including managed service provider partners.
Maintains broad-based technical and solutions expertise in key Networking optimization and solution areas including: SDWAN, SDA, Network Segmentation, PAN firewall management, VPN concentration, Networking expertise across a Hybrid Cloud Environment (On-Premises, Azure, AWS, OCI), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) / Networking Automation
Management Responsibilities

Skills and Requirements
15+ years of experience in networking with 5+ years of experience as a Network Architect (Cisco focused)
Experience leading a network delivery team
Networking SME on-premises and in the Cloud (Azure, AWS, OCI)
Creation and understanding firewall policy (Palo Alto, Firewall Panorama, Azure WAFs, and Azure Firewalls)
Extensive understanding of routing architecture (ex: routing tables and protocols like BGP, OSFP, VXLAN, OMP)
Cisco SD networking concepts and SDWAN
Experience Designing Global Solutions with Zero Trust and zScaler
Network Segmentation and VPN Concentrator
2+ years of Infrastructure-as-Code from a familiarity aspect with Ansible and Terraform
ITIL environment of formal Change processes, Systems Development Lifecycle processes and of production of requirements documentation and evidence Certifications: CCIE, AZ-700, Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Palo Alto PCNSE
Equinix Network Edge experience
Monitoring Tools such as SolarWinds Orion, Cisco DNA Center, Azure ARC, Azure Monitor
Wireless Design Experience for Wi-Fi 6E using predictive site tools.
Load Balancer Design Experience
Network Authentication utilizing Cisco ISE
