Olsson Senior Project Engineer - Federal in Overland Park, Kansas

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure for federal planning and design projects. You will serve as project manager on these large and complex projects for the firm and will organize, coordinate, and lead multi-discipline project teams to ensure successful execution. These large and complex projects will include vertical facilities (dormitories, hangars, dining facilities, visitor centers, etc.), horizontal facilities (roads, trails, airfields, utilities, etc.), and water resources (dams, channels, flood-plain management). You will also lead design-build proposals and provide complete designer of record services as part of the design-build team. We have one position available and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Kansas City, Omaha, or Oklahoma City office locations. *You are passionate about: * Working collaboratively with others * Having ownership in the work you do * Using your talents to positively affect communities * Empowering others to use their talents You bring to the team: * Strong communication skills * Project experience with a variety of clients; including the US Army Corps of Engineers, Army, Air Force, Navy, Veterans Affairs, National Guard-Bureau, etc. * Proficient in engineering, design, and plans & specs production * Knowledge of federal design criteria * Federal experience in both stand-alone project contracts and on-call/indefinite delivery contracts * Experience with Federal Statement of Qualifications submittals * Ability to contribute and work well on a team * Bachelor’s degree in engineering required * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred * 15 years of experience in the consulting industry * 10 years of experience in leadership or management Olsson is a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm specializing in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, and technology.
