Sr. Engineer, Software Release Management

The Device Software, Intelligence, and Analytics team within the Device & Technology is the center for On-Device Apps and Services, Network Analytics, and Data Engineering. We are looking for a passionate, technically minded, and data driven Sr. Project Manager to facilitate the development of complex on-device solutions within the Android and iOS ecosystem.

  • Manage all stages of application development across a team of app developers, backend developers, architects, and quality assurance engineers.

  • Manage the intake process of new work and features across the team.

  • Guide and direct project teams to ensure compliance with standards and best practices and evaluate and recommend technologies for applicability to business systems.

  • Responsible for the delivery of Android and iOS mobile applications using Agile methods.

  • Results-driven, able and willing to go extra mile to get the job done.

  • Creates work breakdown structures, develops and updates project schedules/plans with actual and forecasted deliverable, and manages deviations from plan with help from the upper level Project Managers.

  • Monitors actual project progress, compares to baseline, and reports progress against schedule. Documents, obtains approval for, and tracks all changes in project parameters.

  • Produces project reports and notifications as appropriate and communicates project status to respective internal and external stakeholders and key project sponsor(s).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, Project Management, or 5+ years related experience.

  • 5+ Years’ experience in telecom working with Android application development.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically in the use of Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong Agile and People Management skills.

  • Experience leading projects from concept to implementation.

  • Experience and familiarity with IT systems.

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
